Yes! You can request to reserve an item that is in our catalog but checked out or not yet on the shelves. Place hold requests from your online library account or by calling the library.
Most regular collection items can be placed on hold, but there are some exceptions like WiFi hotspots. You may have up to 15 active holds at a time.
We will contact you to let you know when your holds are available to pick up at the library. Please note that if you do not retrieve your holds within 5 business days, we will return the items to the shelves.
You can return your items inside the library at the circulation desk any time the library is open. After hours, you can use the book drop bin available next to the main entrance doors. Culpeper materials must be returned to Culpeper County Library, not neighboring libraries.
We are FINE FREE on most items.
Interlibrary Loan materials and portable WiFi Hotspots are a $1.00 per day fine.
Borrowing & Internet PC usage may be restricted if your account exceeds $8.
If an account has an item 50 days late, has a lost and unpaid item, or exceeds $25, a collection agency may be used.
